Are you ready for some giveaways? Recently, I have been contacted by several companies to do a review of their product. These same companies have also been generous enough to offer a giveaway of their product to you my lucky readers.

Here is the spoiler part, think major companies like, Duraflame, Vaseline, and Norton Anti-Virus. I will also be reviewing several of the products listed in the RedPlum's Best 30 Holiday Gifts Under $30! guide. You can view a list of the items in the guide here each item listed has a direct link to where you can purchase the item. Below, I have posted a visual of the two page guide of the RedPlum editors picks. You might also find their Black Friday/Cyber Monday guide helpful in dealing with these major shopping events.

So, keep an eye out for these upcoming reviews/giveaways, as the holiday season gets into full swing.

I have a very unique opportunity available for Southern California mom's of toddlers and preschoolers. Have you heard of Shushybye? If you are the parent of a toddler or preschooler you may have. SHUSHYBYE is a daily television show on BabyFirstTV, the 24/7 commercial-free child development channel available on DirectTV, Dish Network and select cable systems nationwide. The Shushies who live in Shushybye make dreams that are delivered to children in Shushybye Dream Boxes by Conductor McCloud and the Shushybye Train as they fall asleep. Living in such Shushybye villages as Nap Valley, Snore Shore, Slumber Heights and Yawn Island, the Shushies love to make dreams - and they also love music. After they make their dreams for the night, the Shushies gather in Pillow Park to dance to the live music of Rockin' Shushie and The Shushybye Dream band.

Shushybye is designed expressly to encourage children to look forward to nighty-night time, SHUSHYBYE is comprised of bedtime picture storybooks, an acclaimed concert DVD entitled The Shushybye Dream Band Live On Tour from the iParenting Award-winning music CD Shushybye & Goodnight as well as toys and plush dolls and sleepwear. A perfect concert for the toddler and preschool set, Shushybye is dream-themed rock music (and lullabies) sung by the amazing Michael North, backed by 5 world class musicians and the Shushy characters SNOOZLES, DOZIE and ZEEZ. The Shushybye music is as far from typical 'preschool' songs as one can get - filled with rock, jazz, r&b, blues and country, the Shushy music is really written for adults to enjoy (and lyrics for children). Recommended for ages 2 and up Shushybye is sleep-themed entertainment for toddlers and preschoolers, but don't be fooled by their drowsy theme. The Shushybye Dream Band features award-winning - and highly contagious - original songs, which are all professionally composed rock tunes designed to encourage children to look forward to nighty-night time.

Shushybye will be having their second annual holiday extravaganza show on December, 5, 2009 at 11:00 am @ the Geffen Playhouse. The playhouse is located at 10886 Le Conte Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90024-3021. I have been presented with the opportunity to review the EXTRAVAGANZA, and also presented with an even better opportunity for you my lucky readers. Shushybye is offering a family four pack of tickets to the Extravaganza for one lucky reader. Once I've attended the event, I will post a full review. Winners will be contacted and have 48 hours to claim their prize or another winner will be chosen. I will contact you via email for your contact information. The tickets will be held, in your name, at the box office the day of the event. I must have the winners information to the host no later than, December 4,2009, so please be sure to watch your inbox and spam folders, for a You've Won email

I love this time of year, when the weather cools down and I can snuggle in my favorite chair with a warm cup of soothing tea. Imagine my happiness when I was connected with Golden Moon Tea and offered the opportunity to review 5, count them- five, of their amazing teas. If you haven't checked out there site you should swing by it here!

They have a huge selection of oolong tea to choose from, as well as flavored, green, black and white teas. Jasmine Pearls, White Persian Melon, Orchid Temple Oolong, Honey Pear and Darjeeling Tea are the one's that I am choosing to sample and review.

Look for my upcoming review, as I snuggle up with Sherri Sheppard's (of The View), Book - Permission Slips, which I will also be reviewing. Keep an eye out, and in the meantime find a book and a quiet spot to enjoy your tea and a favorite book.

I thought that instead of offering another Amazon sampler today, I would add something to get us in the holiday spirit. I am a huge Brian McKnight fan and love listening to his radio program on KTWV 94.7 on weekday mornings.I have consistently followed his musical career and have yet to find one album that I do not like. Rarely do I have the chance to catch his late night talk show, but have enjoyed it when I did have a chance. Brian has a very smooth and melodic voice that sort of draws you into him. His music has a way of making you feel like you know him and want to spend some time with him. I was reading my Wave newsletter today and saw the below advertisement for an upcoming holiday event.

This will be happening at the downtown Santa Monica promenade and should make for an enjoyable evening. I would suggest bringing a jacket, since it is a coastal community and in the evening. Go here for more information on the evening.

I had heard so much about this movie and saw the trailer, that I was like a kid on Christmas waiting to see this. This movie, IMHO, has at least a couple Oscar worthy performances by both Mo’Nique (Mary)and and Gabourey Sidibe (Precious). This movie has placed African American actresses in roles that I doubt they ever would of had the opportunity to occupy, if it weren't for Tyler Perry and Oprah Winfrey.

Lee Daniels's "Precious: Based on the Novel "Push" by Sapphire" is a vibrant, honest and hopeful film about the human capacity to grow and overcome. The movie is Set in Harlem in 1987, it is the story of Claireece "Precious" Jones (Gabourey Sidibe), a sixteen-year-old African-American girl born into a life no one would want. She's pregnant for the second time by her absent father; at home, she must wait hand and foot on her mother (Mo'Nique), a poisonously angry woman who abuses her emotionally and physically. School is a place of chaos, and Precious has reached the ninth grade with good marks and an awful secret: she can neither read nor write.

I will not give full details of the movie, but suffice it to say, if you are in the mood for a poignant, moving and soul searching movie, this is the one to see. Of course, I went in with Kleenex in hand because I knew there would be tears. Take a great friend and plan on a great discussion afterwords.

This movie is rated "R" and runs 110 minutes.

Here is another free sampler from Amazon. It appears that most of this is blues music and guitar heavy. Here is an excerpt from one review on Amazon, “This album is progressively blues-ier, and better, as it goes along.”

As a BzzAgent member, I've been given the opportunity to sample and review this product. I am already a huge fan of SoftSoap and had been using the Spa Scents for my daily shower experience. Being that there was no problem with my favorite spa scent version, I was a little reticent about giving it up to try the two Nutri Serum varieties offered.

Available in two variants, the green one is Restoring with Vitamin E and the pink one is Moisture Retaining with Omegas 3 & 6 , they both deliver essential nutrients (like shea butter and flax seed protein) and hydrators through innovative Serum Pearl technology.

My opinions - Smells great, the pink formula is more floral, bottle design is a little awkward, hard to handle while wet, gel was somewhat thick, a little goes a long way. It is great for sensitive and dry skin, which is great during this time of the year, and it does a great job moisturizing with it's moisture/serum pearls. This is the first body wash infused with nutrient rich softening Serum Pearls that help keep skin nourished and healthy. This is definitely the body wash to use during dry winter months.

Yes, I would buy this product, if for nothing but it's moisturizing properties. But my Spa Scents are also still at the top of my list. The suggested retail price is $3.50 - $4.50 for 15 oz. and there are always $1.00 off coupons floating around in the newspaper and online.

*All opinions expressed are those of myself and my family. No other form of compensation was received for my review. Thank you to BzzAgent and SoftSoap for providing this product for review.*

As a member of shespeaks I recently had the opportunity to try and review the Wet Ones Antibacterial Hands and Face Wipes. With cold and flu season starting up, and back to school season in full swing, and unless you live under a rock,I'm sure you've heard about the concern of the H1N1 virus for this year, I received these to try at just the right time.

While looking around on the CDC's website for information regarding H1N1, I found some interesting information about hand sanitizers. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), say's "alcohol-based hand sanitizers or antibacterial hand wipes are an effective alternative when soap and water are not available."

Wet Ones Antibacterial Wipes, kill 99.99% of germs while also cleaning hands and surfaces, they are great to add to backpacks and lunch boxes, since they are offered in so many convenient sizes. As a parent and aunt, we all know how hard it is to get our children to wash their hands on a regular basis. So adding these little single packaged wipes to their lunches and backpacks, make it a little more fun for them to keep there hands clean and sanitized.

Here is what the Wet Ones web site has to say about their product:
How Wet Ones® Antibacterial Wipes Can Help
The first and easiest line of defense against the spread of germs is to wash your hands often. In the absence of soap and water, Wet Ones® Antibacterial Wipes can clean hands and kill 99.99% of germs. Wet Ones® Antibacterial Wipes are proven to be just as effective as an alcohol-based gel hand sanitizer in killing germs but they also clean away dirt and messes, and won’t dry out your skin like alcohol-based cleansers.

The Features and Benefits offered by the product:
Antibacterial formula kills 99.99% of germs
Hypoallergenic and enriched with skin conditioning Aloe
Perfect for quick clean ups when soap and water aren't available or practical
Available in 2 great scents - Fresh Scent and Citrus
Available in 3 convenient sized packages:
40 count canister
15 count travel pack
24 count individually wrapped singles

I really enjoyed testing this product. The wipes are sturdy enough to hold up to wiping hands and faces, as well as surfaces. The kids liked finding them packed in with their lunches and I love that I can keep a canister at my desk, a packet in the car and be prepared on the go.

Save NOW - Print $1.00 off coupon HERE !

They are selling the XBox for $199. Then when you purchase it, you’ll get a $100 eGift card. This means you can only use the gift card online, but still a great deal. Quantities are limited so you’ll want to be there EARLY!!!!

If you happened to read yesterday's post that I found on Aimee's site regarding the Target Glade money maker deal, you will know why I am doing the happy dance. I shot over to Target today on my lunch break to put my $1.50 off any Glade Scented oil product and my Free scented oil candles when you purchase a holder, coupons to good use. I was in Ralph's market over the weekend and they still had the Free Scented Oil Candle coupon blinkies available, so I grabbed some with this deal in mind.

Just as Aimee posted, I purchased 5 holiday scented oil candle glass holders and 5 holiday scented oil candle refills. My total came out to $5.00 total after coupons for 10 items. I also happened to have one $2.00 & one $3.00 target giftcard I received from doing online surveys. So my grand total oop (out of pocket) was $1.46. A lovely lady in line behind me was doing the happy dance for me. She saw my original total before coupons of $22.00 and my final total of $1.46 and became extremely excited. Oh, don't forget I also walked away with two new $5.00 giftcards for my time and effort. Gotta Love Coupons!!!!!!

Express is holding a Friends & Family Event 11/6 and 11/7, and to celebrate you get to use this 20% Express coupon, valid on all in store purchases. A good time to get outfits for those upcoming holiday parties.

How I love Glade scented oil candles. I use them everyday at work at lunchtime, when others cook not so pleasant smelling lunch items.

The information below is courtesy of The Mommy Trade, thanks Aimee.

There is a GREAT money maker going on at Target from now until 12/26. They have Glade HOLIDAY Scented Oil candle holders and refills (the holiday versions of those pictured above) on sale for $2.50 each and when you buy 5 of them you’ll get a $5 gift card back. (I found mine on the end cap – not on the isle)

Here is the best scenario to make some money: (you can do this all in one transaction to maximize your savings with coupons)

Buy (5) Candle Holders (the tins)
Buy (5) Candle Refills
Use: (5) $1.50/1 Candle Holder (found inside the tin)
Use: (5) Buy One Scented Oil Candle Holder get a Free Refill Pack (found in the 11/1 SS insert or you can print 2 per computer from HERE - to print it twice hit the back button after it’s printed, you may have to hit “refresh” on your browser for it to work – I’ve also heard that some grocery stores have these as “blinkies” but I’ve not looked for them yet)
Final Price: $5 for all 10 products PLUS you’ll get back $10 in gift cards!

And the great thing is that if you can get more coupons you can do this offer over and over and over again until 12/26!

To make this an even SWEETER deal you can submit your receipt for the SC Johnson $5 Rebate found HERE. You can submit up to 3 rebates per household. To qualify you have to purchase 3 SC Johnson products – if you do the above scenario you’ll have purchased enough to submit for all 3 rebates.

I called about this rebate because I had purchased all of my candles on one receipt and the form says that you need to submit separately and they told me on the phone to send in 3 forms with the one receipt.

So if you bought all 10 in the scenario above you’ll get everything free, plus make $5 in Target Gift Card and get $15 back from SC Johnson! That’s a $20 profit!

Happy Money Making!

Save $10 on a $20 or greater purchase at Buca Di Beppo Italian Restaurant with this printable coupon. Coupon expires 12/31/10.

Sunday, November 8 at select stores, Kmart is having it's FAMILY & FRIENDS EVENT. They are offering 20% off most merchandise and 10% off electronics. Go here to print your coupon.

Sounds like a great time to stock up on Christmas gifts. Now, if they would only offer this during a double coupon event we would be set. Be sure to read the fine print on the coupon to see if your store is on Saturday or Sunday.
