I must admit the I really love water.  Most times I will reach for a bottle or glass before I reach for another type of drink.  Kids however aren't as eager to drink water as much as they should. So I was really exited when given the opportunity to review WAT-AAH. WAT-AAH! is the first 100%  sugar-free, functional beverage brand designed especially for kids.

April 1, 2010 was the launch of the WAT-AAH! brand in the Los Angeles and surrounding areas. WAT-AAH! will be available in Whole Foods, and other natural/organic markets and deli's. WAT-AAH! is ultra-pure water containing the right amount of essential minerals to fortify and maintain children's health. WAT-AAH's! mission is to reverse the established behavior and dependency on sweetened drinks among American children, thereby reducing the high rates of childhood obesity associated with sugar laden drinks children enjoy. Ultimately, WAT-AAH! aims to teach kids that healthy bodies can be obtained through healthy hydration!

According to the Centers for Disease Control, fifteen percent of children and teens are overweight, that is equal to almost 9 million children, and another nineteen percent are considered at risk for becoming overweight. This triples the statistic rates that were documented in the1980's. Currently, there isn't another water product on the market for kids and teens that can claim to be 100 percent free of artificial flavors, artificial colors, additives and sugar. This line of parent/child products include:
  • WA-TAAH! Bones, ultra pure water with magnesium to help bone growth.
  • WA-TAAH! Brain, ultra pure water with added electrolytes to encourage faster absorption, hydration and cooling down.
  • WA-TAAH! Energy, ultra pure water with oxygen for increased metabolic function and energy.
  • WA-TAAH! Bones, the foundation for the brand with simple and super clean spring water, absolutely free of sugar.

So, what does this family have to say!?! When the box arrived, we opened it and placed the bottles in the fridge, along with all the other favorite drinks enjoyed by our family. I think everyone was excited by the cute and brightly colored bottles, which really got the kids to want to try it. At first they thought it was going to taste differently than other water, but after trying it they found out that it tastes just the same.  They really liked the thought that it was providing the “little extras” for their brains and bones.  They loved the cool picture of the kid on the labels and box. So, would your family like a chance to try WAT-AAH! for themselves?
